The Mountains Will Melt At Your Coming

THE REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST WHICH GOD GAVE TO HIM TO SHOW HIS SERVANTS THE THINGS THAT SOON MUST TAKE PLACE.  (Rev. 1:1a, ESV)

I read Revelation.  I try to imagine what John saw at Your Coming.  John was in the Spirit on the Day of the Lord.  This is how he saw what's going to happen at Your Coming. THE SKY VANISHED LIKE A SCROLL BEING ROLLED UP, AND EVERY MOUNTAIN AND ISLAND WAS MOVED FROM IT'S PLACE. (Rev. 6:14)  Sounds like an earthquake, of the whole world possibly?  AND EVERY ISLAND FLED AWAY, AND HE MOUNTAINS WERE NOT FOUND. (Rev. 16:20)

"What does this mean?"  I asked God.  " How can I see it, understand what's happening?"  I wondered in my heart  I asked the Lord  that question many years ago.  And He answered me.  He said, "Catastrophic environmental changes that the mind of man cannot comprehend."  (How did He tell me that?  It was a thought that came into my mind.  I call it the whisper of the Holy  Spirit.  LISTEN TO WHAT THE SPIRIT SAYS TO THE CHURCHES, commands Jesus in Revelation.  Or, A STILL, SMALL VOICE, as the Almighty spoke to Elijah, as he sat alone in his cave.  God still speaks to us today. He hasn't changed.)

Jeremiah looked: " I LOOKED AT THE MOUNTAINS AND THEY WERE QUAKING, ALL THE HILLS WERE SWAYING." (Jer. 4:24)  "I BEHELD THE EARTH, AND, SEE, IT WAS WITHOUT FORM, AND VOID..(Jer. 4:23)

God tells Ezekiel, "THE MOUNTAINS WILL BE OVERTURNED, THE CLIFFS WILL CRUMBLE AND EVERY WALL WILL FALL TO THE GROUND."   (Ex.38:20c)  Sounds like Jesus has a remodeling plan for this whole earth.  All the cities, everything, mountains, will be demolished. And then, some great day... THE REGENERATION OF ALL THINGS.  But that's another subject for another time.

Amos the prophet saw it this way:  "THE LORD, THE LORD ALMIGHTY- HE TOUCHES THE EARTH AND IT MELTS .. THE WHOLE LAND RISES LIKE THE NILE, THEN SINKS LIKE THE RIVER OF EGYPT." (Amos 9:5) 

  Mica sees You.  He shouts, "LOOK!  THE LORD IS COMING FROM HIS DWELLING PLACE... THE MOUNTAINS MELT BENEATH HIM, AND THE VALLEYS SPLIT APART, LIKE WAX BEFORE THE FIRE, LIKE WATER RUSHING DOWN A SLOPE." (Micah 1:3a,4)

Nahum sees the Day of the Lord: "THE MOUNTAINS QUAKE BEFORE HIM AND THE HILLS MELT AWAY. THE EARTH TREMBLES AT HIS PRESENCE, THE WORLD AND ALL WHO LIVE IN IT."  (Nahum 1:5) 

The most beautiful vision of the Second Coming of Jesus was given to Habakkuk, the seer.

 Oh, Habbakuk was brought to his knees by the sheer radiance, power  of our God.  HIS RADIANCE IS LIKE  SUNLIGHT; BEAMS OF LIGHT SHINE FROM HIS HAND, WHERE HIS STRENGTH LAYS HIDDEN.  HE STOOD UP AND SHOOK THE LAND.. THE AGE-OLD MOUNTAINS WERE SHATTERED, AND THE ANCIENT HILLTOPS BOWED DOWN.  HIS WAYS ARE ETERNAL.  YOU SPLIT THE EARTH WITH RIVERS.  WHEN THE MOUNTAINS LOOKED UPON YOU, THEY TREMBLED;  .. THE SUN AND THE MOON STAND STILL IN THEIR ORBITS; ..  

What was Habakkuk's response?  He buckled.. his whole body.  'I HEARD AND TREMBLED WITHIN.  MY LIPS QUIVERED AT THE NOISE.  MY LEGS GAVE WAY BENEATH ME, AND I TREMBLED. NEVERTHELESS, I AWAIT THE DAY OF DISTRESS THAT WILL DAWN...   (From Hab. 3, selected verses ISV)  Habakkuk cries out in victory at the very end.  He proclaims:  THE LORD GOD IS MY STRENGTH.  I WILL WALK UPON THE HEIGHTS..  He is looking forward to the Millenium, when Jesus regenerates this war torn earth.  We can too.  COME, LORD JESUS.
